One thought when we see the opposition btw Zuck's & Adyen's strategy (own everything) and Rippling's (integrate to everything): it depends on the structure of the market. If the platforms are oligopolistics, you should try to developp the next generation; otherwise if there is strong competition you'd better integrate (at least first, you can always then either launch your own platform or acquire it).
